Requiem For The Indifferent

2002年年初，马可·杰生被万世沉沦(After Forever)开除之后，为了作出融合古典/交响的摇滚金属，成立了名为 Sahara Dust 的乐团。  2002年年底，前悲伤泪痕（Trail of Tears)的主唱 Helena Michaelsen加入乐团，但很快的主唱位置就被当时杰生的女友 Simone Simons所取代。此时乐团的其他成员还包括吉他手 Ad Sluijter、鼓手 Jeroen Simons、贝斯手 Yves Huts 和键盘手 Coen Janssen。之后乐团改名为 Epica，团名是来自幸运之星（Kamelot）的知名专辑《Epica》。  乐团之后寻找了一组合唱团（由2男4女组成）和一组弦乐团（3位小提琴手，两位中提琴手，两位大提琴手和一位低音提琴手）一起合作。乐团在2003年以 Sahara Dust之名发行了一张2首歌的 demo《Cry for the Moon》，之后与 Transmission Records 签约。  《Requiem For The Indifferent》是乐队第5张专辑，将于3月9日发行。乐队称该专辑名指向末日，人类无法如鸵鸟般逃避现实，不同的宗教文化战争自然灾害经济危机造成的紧张氛围正令一切走向失控...恍若末日序曲，但也许是新的契机。----
