自美国凤凰城的电子音乐二人组The Foxglove Hunt
by William Ruhlmann
The Foxglove Hunt is a neo-synth-pop duo consisting of Ronnie Martin and Rob Withem. Martin first collaborated with his brother Jason Martin as Dance House Children, then began releasing albums under the name Joy Electric. In 2000, he produced When the World Sings, the debut album by Withem's band Fine China. When Fine China broke up in 2006, Withem and Martin began working together, from a distance. Withem wrote songs and made demos of them that he sent to Martin at his home studio in Riverside, CA. Martin then programmed synthesizer arrangements. Later, the two met at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, AZ, for formal recording sessions to dub Withem's vocals and guitar onto the tracks. The result was the Foxglove Hunt's debut album, Stop Heartbeat, released by Common Wall Media LLC on March 25, 2008.
