Formed in a Stockholm suburb and influenced by the Cure, Depeche Mode, and Duran Duran, drummer Carl DeLorean, singer Joakim Hjelm, and bassist Kit Balance formed Kamera in 2000. Their big break came when they performed for more than 35,000 people while opening for Robbie Williams; soon after, the group released its self-titled debut in 2003. A line-up change saw two of Kamera's original (but not founding) members replaced by Nico on synthesizers and Lotus on guitar. Their second album, Resurrection, was released in 2007.
