Britney Spears(布兰妮)最新专辑《Britney》动员顶尖制作与创作名笔，继续执行解放自我的流行任务，再次强调她已不再是那个天真的小女生。她在新碟中的第二首歌《Overprotected》中唱着“I‘m so fed up with people telling me what to do”，尽管新锐制作组合The Neptunes为首支单曲《I‘m A Slave 4 U》编织了一个新的节奏冒险，专辑中的其它歌曲依然围绕着青春女王的形象打造，偶而展现些许挑战边缘的企图。

帮‘N Sync(超级男孩)打造成听起来有如2010年酷团的BT为Britney男友Justin与编舞者Wade Robson合写的《What It‘s Like To Be Me》添加电音实验趣味，歌曲以Justin的问句“Do you even know what I like?”开场，在一阵节奏声效后，歌曲浮出两人的和谐清唱。

2000年合作过《(I Can‘t Get No) Satisfaction》后，制作人Rodney Jenkins再度为Britney的老歌新唱曲《I Love Rock ‘N‘ Roll》操刀，重现Joan Jett 82年时演唱此歌的性感风情。新世代创作才女Dido(蒂朵)谱写，制作老友Max Martin、Rami制作的《I‘m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman》是新碟中唯一的抒情歌，流露细腻的感触，类似的议题也出现在不同的歌曲里，Martin与Rami制作的《Overprotected》，Britney就在副歌中问道: “What am I to do with my life?“ she asks in the chorus. “How am I supposed to know what‘s right?/ I can‘t help the feeling/ But my life has been so overprotected。”

带点放克味道的《Boys》，Britney稍微改了一些步调，歌曲描述Britney与一位在俱乐部偶遇的男生坠入情网的故事，在这首由The Neptunes制作的歌曲里唱着《I spotted you dancing/ You made all the girls stare““Your lips and brown eyes/ And your sexy hair》，还以《Nasty boys》的口吻向Janet(珍娜)致敬。
